Environment Australia

Export Finance and Insurance Corporation (EFIC)

Insures investment exposed to heightened political risks in emerging markets.



Bürgesförderungsbank Gesellschaft

FDI scheme for small-and medium-sized enterprises and financial aid for a long-term partnership between an Austrian SME and a private company.

Erp-Fonds (European Recovery Programme Fund)

Supports Austrian companies investing home or abroad.

Financing Guarantee Company (East-West Fund)

Eases the long-term project financing by Austrian companies abroad. It is now merged with the Finance Guarantee Company in Austria is now AWS 



Belgian Corporation for International Investment (BMI-SBI)

An investment company whose main objective is to provide medium to long-term co-financing for Belgian companies investing abroad.

The Cyprus Investment Promotions Agency (CIPA)

Established with a Council of Ministers decision in 2007, the Cyprus Investment Promotions Agency is a registered not-for-profit company limited by guarantee and fully funded by the Government of Cyprus and has a threefold mandate:

  • To promote Cyprus as an attractive international investment centre in key priority growth sectors
  • To advocate reform in Cyprus required to improve the regulatory and business environment and infrastructure
  • To provide investor support with after care and further development services

CIPA takes the lead in attracting foreign direct investment in conjunction and partnership with the private sector and related government organizations and agencies. CIPA is actively involved in advocating key reforms hurdles and strengthen the regulatory and business environment in Cyprus which is foundational requirement to attract and retain foreign direct investment, especially in an increasingly competitive global economic framework. CIPA encourages foreign businesses to explore opportunities for investment in Cyprus.

The One-Stop Shop, under the auspices of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, serves both local and foreign based companies, providing one single contact regarding:

  • Company registration
  • VAT registration
  • Income tax registration
  • Social Insurance Fund and Employers Registration
  • Application for the issuance of residence and work permits

Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC)

Provides private sector investment finance through loan financing for and equity investment in private companies in developing countries.

Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO)

Promotes Japanese direct investment abroad through a variety of services.

Export-Import Bank of Japan (JEXIM)

Finances Japanese firms' equity acquisition abroad.

Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA)

JICA provides long-term, low-interest loans to Japanese enterprises for projects which do not qualify for loans from the Overseas Economic Cooperation Fund or the Export-Import Bank of Japan.

Japan Institute for Overseas Investment (JOI)

Promotes Japanese direct investment abroad through research and training.


Saudi Fund for Development (SFD)

articipates in the financing of development projects in developing countries through the granting of loans.


The Export-Import Bank of Korea

The CDC is the UK Government’s main instrument for directly mobilizing private investment in developing countries.

Promotes UK private sector trade and investment in developing countries through the collaboration with business on individual projects.

Promotes a wide range of policies that support technology development, foreign investment, trade, technical, managerial and other capacity building.
